Dojo name “Arahan” is derived from Buddhism. The literal translation being” a disciple deserving respect” or a monk who has attained Nirvana. The Arahan Dojo was established by two female instructors in February, 2007 in Korea. The instructor is former members of the Korean National Taekwondo Demonstration Team. The Director is not only my splendid teacher but a close personal friend as well. I established the Arahan Dojo in Tokyo to promote the interchange and foster a long lasting friendship between Korea and Japan.
In recent years, Taekwondo women instructors are gaining attention in Korea. Women instructors offer a softer and friendly approach in a world which appears difficult to enter.
The Arahan Dojo strives to be a Dojo where men, women, and children alike can participate in a comfortable and enjoyable environment.
